Newsela

I think using Newsela can help teachers find reading materials for their students very conveniently. What amazed me the most is that Newsela can change the language difficulty of the same article very easily, this way, teachers can choose the reading materials that fit the students’ needs. The articles in Newsela are of various fields and topics, teachers can choose freely what they’d like their students to read about.

I will use Newsela to find reading materials to use in class and I’ll use it as a homework tool. I’ll ask my students to choose an article from Newsela to read every week and write a summary of the article they’ve chosen.
