knudge.me is vocabulary learning APP. It has enough and common English vocabulary to practice. The vocabularies are in different levels of difficulty and users can choose their own level to practice. When learning the vocabulary, there will be a sample sentence for each vocabulary. Which not only enhance the memorization of the word but also create a context for the vocabulary so that words are not learned isolatedly. Knudge.me also teaches the parts of speech of the words and gives precise instructions on when and how to correctly use vocabulary. It also teaches vocabularies that are used for different functions and situations, such as business vocabulary or hospital vocabulary. The APP keeps track of the students’ progress using the “vocabulary builder”, students climb to a higher level of the builder when they complete the requirement of their current level. Its design raised the students' interest and confidence.

However, I feel that the success in using this type of vocabulary learning APP is still heavily dependent on the students themselves. Because it’s a self-learning tech tool, there’s not going to be teachers that monitor and direct the students. Learning outcomes of different students may vary a lot.

Although the learning efficacy is ambiguous and uncertain, I will still recommend this type of APP because it’s a very good way to learn some words in the students' fragmented time.
